AUCTION &
WESTERN ART ROUNDUP BRUNCH RECEPTION
On Saturday, May 17, as an
addition to our popular Western Art Roundup Exhibit and the World
Famous Miles City Bucking Horse Sale weekend, the Art Center is holding
our Annual
Quick Draw and Auction in the park. The action takes place
in Riverside Park
(at Main and 5th Streets) beginning at 10:30am. Join onlookers as artists
have 30 minutes to create original artworks then everyone is
invited to join the fun of bidding when all pieces are sold at auction
to the highest bidder.
Participating Artists (as of April 4th) include: Linda Conradsen, J.
Todd Daniels, Elliott Eaton, Rabbit Knows Gun, Laura Lake, Keely
Perkins, Carol Poppenga, Harvey Rattey, Sheila Rieman, Kate Settle-Ruland,
Carolyn Thayer and Sue Tirrell.
Sunday morning you're invited to kick off the Western Art roundup
Exhibit at the Art Center's annual Brunch reception from 9:30am to
11:30am. Local Milescitian Jerry Huss will be in charge of the
grille - cooking eggs, sausage and hash browns. Volunteers will
provide homemade treats. Admission is $10 per person which
includes brunch and live music.
The Western Art Roundup, annually one of the Art Center's most popular
exhibits, features "western and tribal" genre that captures the spirit
and feeling of the old and new West through a variety of traditional and
contemporary arts. Featured artists include: Bill Drum, Patse
Hansen, William Jasper, Walter Piehl, Seidel Standing Elk and Leroy
Whiteman.
